Part Time - One to One Teaching Assistant (Temporary) - Starting April 2019

 Part-time - 19.5 hours per week

Mon, Tues, Thurs 8.30 am – 3.30 pm each day - Term-time only

Salary - G3  £18,065 - £19,171 (pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint a one to one teaching assistant to join our friendly staff team from April 2019. The post will involve supporting a statemented Y2 child with complex medical needs.

The successful applicant would need to demonstrate initiative and be able to personalise learning in order for activities to become fully inclusive.  There is a physical aspect to this post in terms of moving and handling and does include the use of a hoist.  There will also be the requirement to provide personal care needs. Training for this role will be provided and organised by school where necessary.

Experience of supporting a child with special educational needs and medical needs is desirable.

This post is temporary whilst the child remains at the school.

Visits to the school, prior to submitting an application, are both welcomed and encouraged.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the job description and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
