Admissions Arrangements for 2027-2028
We follow the Lincolnshire admissions arrangements and have a Pupil Admission Number of 10 into Reception each year. Our admission policy details the criteria we apply when applications are received to the school. It also includes our over subscription and appeal criteria.
Every year, we welcome a brand-new cohort of Reception children to our North Scarle family. If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023, they can start Reception from September 2027.
Children can start school at any time until they reach the compulsory school age, which is the term after the child turns 5. You can request to delay your child’s start date until later in the academic year but not after they reach the compulsory school age.
You can apply to a school between 16th November 2026 until the deadline of 15th January 2027 (national closing date).
Online admissions for late or changes to applications re-opens 16th April 2027 and closes 14th May 2027.
All applications are made through the Lincolnshire County Council admissions website. Lincolnshire parents can apply online here or call 01522 782030.
Applicants outside the county can still apply to a school in Lincolnshire, but will need to apply via their home Local Authority.
If a parent or carer needs support with the application process for a variety of reasons, such as literacy issues or a language barrier, please feel free to contact the Education Team on 01522 782030 or email: schooladmissions@lincolnshire.gov.uk
Timetable for Offer Dates
National offer day for Primary Schools: 16th April 2027

Information on how to appeal a school place decision is available on Lincolnshire County Council website and will be provided when you receive your offer of a school place. All admission authorities must post their appeals timetable on their website by 28 February each year.

Admission Appeals
Before you appeal:
You have the right to appeal if your child does not get a place at North Scarle Primary School.
There are three types of appeal:
- For the September intake of reception appeals are held in blocks during late spring and summer.
- For midyear applications, appeals should be heard within 30 school days of being received.
- For a child with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan, you must contact your case worker.
